ADDITIONAL TIPS

Be in Nature: You can bring more Earth into your life at any moment you get to be outside. Take some time to feel the air currents against your skin, take in the rays of the sun, look and listen out for birds, notice the trees – savor whatever moments you can get outside. Play, garden and interact with plants, animals, insects, and the many forms of life in the natural world as often as possible. Leaving your phone behind is helpful. As an exercise, spend at least 20 minutes in as most natural of a setting as possible and just be at one with all that goes on around you, a silent observer, watching the wonders of life surround you – birds, wind, trees, ants, people, weather. Relax in human silence to listen to the world around you. Practice neutral breathing and see how you astoundingly perfect you can connect to the rhythm of the natural world.

Practice Grounding: Earthing, better known as grounding or simply being bare-soled/skinned on any Earth terrain, or being near a tree, is said to reset and restore you to a more harmonious biological rhythm. Humans have spent thousands of years walking and sleeping closer to the Earth’s surface. Modern life removes us from this natural charge.

“Emerging evidence shows that contact with the Earth—whether being outside barefoot or indoors connected to grounded conductive systems—may be a simple, natural, and yet profoundly effective environmental strategy against chronic stress, ANS dysfunction, inflammation, pain, poor sleep, disturbed HRV, hypercoagulable blood, and many common health disorders, including cardiovascular disease.” – Dr. Frank Sinatra, Research from the Journal of Environmental and Public Health

Find the Floor: If for whatever reason grounding yourself directly on the Earth’s surface isn’t possible, you can still experience effects of bringing your body down to the ground, no matter your flooring. You can stand with the vision of a strong root connection, or seated on the ground, or better yet, laid out flat on the floor. Breathe here a few times. Roll around. Have fun again! This will brings you back to your baby state, a time when you were full of life and wonder, just a pure, open, growing light channel. Find the floor, it is such a powerful healer. If you are feeling out of whack, lay down and start stretching, or even make a bed for yourself on the ground for the night. Many who enjoy yoga experience a strong energetic pull when “coming back to the mat”.
